March 26, 2010: Well, that took me a bit longer than expected but finally it's done. The book is edited, printed, and at the distributors. It should be appearing in the library's and shop's shortly. Keep an eye out and let me know what you think.
October 2009: I have just received a proof of the final cover and it looks great. I couldn't stand setting my bad spelling and grammar on you so have sent 'A Dark Future' off for a professional proof read. I should get it back and be able to make the book available by the end of the month. So, not far off now - thanks for you patience.

2009: Sorry for the delay in an update. I have just finished an edit
of 'A Dark Future'. The cover is also in its final stages, and I am
hoping to make the novel available in October. Below Is a copy of an
early draft of the cover - the colour has not been finished yet, and the title
needs added, but it'll give you an idea. If you want to preview the
first three chapters of 'A Dark Future' just click on the image.

July 2009: Almost there. I'm just in the process of getting a cover
created, and then I should be able to make 'A Dark Future' availale to
those who want it. I should be able to give you a preview of the cover
near the end of next month, with the book being available some time
after that. I will point out, that as freelance editors are expensive
the book won't have gone through this process (ie editing), but if you
can put up with the odd typo everything should be ok. I'll update as
soon as I have more news. May 2009: I'm still in the process of finding a home for 'A Dark
Future", it is currently with Harper Colins - but these things take a
while. Thanks to those who continue to contact me and let me know how
they enjoyed 'The 'Lord of Beasts' - it is very much appreciated. I
will up date here as soon as I have any news to share.
March 2009: Well, I finally heard
back from Scholastic and I'm afraid that the news is not good. They
have decided not to publish 'A Dark Future' - due they say to the
current state of the market, and the fact that sales of 'THe Lord of
Beasts' was not as strong as they had hoped. Oh, well.... But I'm not giving up. I am going to try a few other publishers to see
if they'd be interested. Rest assured though, if I can't get it
published I will make 'A Dark Future' available to those who want it in
some manner - even if it is in electronic form. Stay tuned and I'll keep you up to date with what's happening. Karen Lee Field over at the Scribes Writing Desk has posted up an
